2008 Review

Well, we thought we’d had a good year but it wasn’t until we came to tot up the number of awards from the results section on this site that we realized we’d had a FANTASTIC 2008.

Our small kennel has notched up 125 1st prizes; 69 at Championship Shows and 56 at Open Shows.

The following is a summary of our year:

The highlights of the year were gaining 2 Junior Warrants, a Show Certificate of Merit and 3 Reserve Challenge Certificates. We will never forget the day that Diva and her son, Sol, were Best in Show and Best Puppy in Show at the North of England Welsh Springer Spaniel Club. And, of course, Chintz’s Best of Breed at Crufts and being 2008’s Top Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla with her dam, Silvanus Ezmi being Top Brood Bitch. What a year!

Of course, none of this would have been possible without Frank Whyte (Kazval) who bred Diva our WSS foundation bitch and Donna Holman (Silvanus) the breeder of Ezmi.

We are eternally grateful to all those who have judged our dogs. Here are a few of the highlights of what they have said about them:

We are immensely proud to have bred and to own these wonderful dogs. They have been bred for type but paramount to this is temperament. We are not prolific breeders and puppies are only very occasionally available as we only breed when we want to keep a puppy for ourselves. Quality, not quantity is what we believe in.
